The Oz Goose is an affordable, simple, light, and stable sailing dinghy for families, training, and racing. It is an ideal first boat build and a great boat for learning to sail.

The Oz Goose Additional Timber kit includes:

Hull Framing + Tiller Extension + Boom Longitudinals + Centrecase and Rudder Spacers + Mast Spacer: These pieces cut to the dimensions and lengths called for in the plans (“Timber Imperial List – Filleted Bottom” page 15). You will do the final cutting to length and shaping, including scarfing together the gunwales and boom longitudinals from max. 8’ long pieces to achieve the required lengths. All of these pieces will be cut from C & Better Grade (clear (no knots) appearance grade) timber.

Mast Staves + Yard: These pieces cut to the dimensions and lengths called for in the plans (“Timber Imperial List – Filleted Bottom” page 15). You will do the final cutting to length and shaping, including scarfing together the mast staves and yard from max. 8’ long pieces to achieve the required lengths. All of these pieces will be cut from Spar Grade (clear vertical grain) timber.
